The West Kent Branch of the European Movement will be holding its annual dinner on Friday, February 29th 2008.

The special guest speaker will be Gary Lawson, a Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for the South-East Region.

Gary currently sits on the International Relations Committee of the Liberal Democrats and has contributed to policy papers on International Trade & Development and International Law.
  

He is a former Chair of the party's Parliamentary Candidates Association and current Vice Chair of Liberal International British Group.

Gary holds degrees from the School of Oriental & African Studies at London University and Cranfield School of Management. He has spent time living both in West Berlin and Luxembourg.

He has worked in the City and overseas for a number of investment banks and currently runs his own business advising financial institutions, public and not-for-profit bodies around the world on financial risk issues.

He is also Vice Chair of a major charity, which provides supported housing to vulnerable groups across Kent and the South East.
