***Pride London this Saturday – final details for the day*** 

London LGBT Pride is just a few days away. A large number of people have confirmed they’re coming and we hope you’re one of them.

 Here are the details you need to know: 

We’re meeting between 12pm and 12.30pm on Baker Street, just up from the intersection with George Street. See the map here: http://tinyurl.com/3xldolq. It’s a few minutes walk from Baker Street or Marble Arch tube. Bear in mind that many roads will be closed in the area on Saturday and the tubes will be busy so allow extra time for travel.

 

To make us look like a vaguely uniformed group we’re wearing white, yellow or orange coloured tops. Can you do the same?

 

The march starts at 1pm and the route takes us down Oxford Street, Regent Street and finishes at Great Scotland Yard, just off Whitehall. Make sure you head to Trafalgar Square to hear Lynne Featherstone MP – Minister for Equalities – speaking on the main stage. We’re fortunate that Lynne will also be marching with us on the parade, along with other Lib Dem parliamentarians and Lib Dem names you’ll know.

Be part of the Lib Dem team at LGBT Pride London for the most fun campaigning session you could ever be part of!

Our theme is ‘Proud to represent you’. Now we’re part of government – and the Minister for Equalities is our very own Lynne Featherstone MP – a strong Lib Dem presence at Pride is more important than ever.

We’ll have a large banner and loads of placards that need people to hold them. What’s more, we need a big group to enjoy the sounds pumping from our very own Lib Dem balloon-adorned car.

We want Lib Dem supporters to join us from all parts of London and beyond. This isn’t just a group for lesbian and gay Lib Dems – it’s one for every Lib Dem to show their support for equality and diversity.

We are finalising which parliamentarians will be joining us, but more on that to come. In the meantime, save the date!
