You can help us elect a
Liberal Democrat MP in Bedfordshire!
Four years ago this week I was elected as an MP in a by-election victory that sent shock waves through the Government.
The victory was not just mine, but a victory for all those Liberal Democrats from the length and breadth of Britain who helped my campaign in so many ways.
Four months ago Dave Hodgson became the directly elected Mayor of Bedford in another by-election win that was achieved with a massive response of help from outside of the area.
As Chair of the party’s Campaigns and Communications Committee I am keen to see us elect a Liberal Democrat MP in Bedfordshire.
Qurban Hussain in Luton South is well placed to win in a seat that has been in the news more than most for the expenses claims of the sitting MP.
Luton residents have had enough of Labour, and the Conservative can’t win.
At the last General Election there was a swing of over 12% from Labour to Qurban, at this election we can go one step furtehr and win the constituency.
Qurban and his local team have been fighting hard, delivering Focus leaflets, letters, newspapers and knocking on doors.
Now more than ever we can elect a Liberal Democrat MP in Bedfordshire.
But Qurban Hussain needs help, your help.
Nick Clegg has been to help twice recently, and Vince Cable visited this week.
There is an all important ACTION DAY next Saturday. Please do all you can to help, there won’t only be all important letters to deliver, there will also be clerical jobs to do in preparing for the General Election when it comes.
