Liberal Democrats Campaigning to regain Swanley from BNP
(Sunday, March 1, 2009)

Meeting type:Campaigning session
Date:Sunday, March 1, 2009
Time:11.30am - 3.30pm
Description:
As we all know by now the BNP have made gains south of the Thames gaining a councillor in Swanley, Kent. This is something exceptionally concerning that could have implications in all of our constituencies. The Sevenoaks Liberal Democrats have decided to become proactive on the issue and will be the first to have a mass visiting of the area since the election. We plan to mobilise as many Liberal Democrat members and sympathisers in the South of England as possible to help us regain Swanley from the BNP. We are determined that fear will not win over hope!

At 11:30am on Sunday 1st March we will be meeting outside Swanley train station and then leafleting as much of the St Mary’s Ward of Swanley as possible. We want to give hope to the majority of people in the area who didn’t vote BNP and let them know that there is a party out there that cares about them.

So lend us your time on that Sunday to fight the first inroad of the BNP in the South East. We need as many people as possible to make a clear show that the Liberal Democrats will win in this area.
