Liberal Democrats National One Day Conference, LSE, London
(Saturday, January 17, 2009)

Meeting type:Conference
Date:Saturday, January 17, 2009
Time:9.30am - 5.30pm
Description:
Help us win the battle of ideas!

Saturday 17 January 2009
The London School of Economics, Aldwych, London

REGISTER NOW!

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in Liberal Democrat thinking and policy development. You will be able to take part in focused sessions run by policy interest groups and question political and policy experts from inside and outside the party.

The Liberal Democrats are now the only hope for a progressive future. Labour has failed to correct the grossly unfair society that the Conservatives created. Come and help us develop our policies to:

  • open up opportunities for all
  • help struggling households
  • fight climate change without burdening the poor

This conference, organised by the Federal Policy Committee and the Keynes Forum, will bring together party members and outside groups to talk through the policy options and the political opportunities for the party.

Including keynote speech from Nick Clegg MP

The day will help to broaden the input into the next General Election Manifesto and to strengthen the party's engagement with progressive opinion formers and thinkers. Modelled on the successful one day conferences we have held over the last few years, the conference will have over 400 delegates in attendance including many MPs, peers, MEPs and other leading party figures. The previous conferences sold out in advance so don't leave it too long to register!

Hear Vince Cable's views on Social Mobility
