Keep The Promise - End Child Povery Rally
(Saturday, October 4, 2008)

Meeting type:Public Meeting
Date:Saturday, October 4, 2008
Time:11.15am - 2.15pm
Description:

Join Jenny Willott MP at the end Child Poverty Rally.

The Budget 2009 is the last realistic chance for the Government to meet the 2010 target and keep alive its promise to end child poverty. So we are joining the UK's biggest ever event to end child poverty this year to demand a better future for all our children.

The Liberal Democrat team will be meeting outside the Pizza Express on Millbank at 11.15am. It is about a five minute walk from the main meeting point and will allow us to gather banners and join the march behind Jenny.  (30 Millbank – SW1P 4SD – for map click here: http://www.multimap.com/s/dGMQdbdh)

The March: This is a short march - the event will begin with a short march led by children, and families, accompanied by bands, into Trafalgar Square.

Trafalgar Square - There will be activity in the square from 1pm, but the event will begin when the March arrives at 2pm. There will be children's activities, entertainers, speeches and a mass moment to ensure the Government hears the strong demand for a better future for all our children.
