Liberal Youth Glasgow East Action Weekend 1
(Saturday, July 12, 2008)

Meeting type:Campaigning session
Date:Saturday, July 12, 2008 - Monday, July 14, 2008
Time:9.00am - 9.00am
Description:
Time to wipe the smile from Alex Salmond's face and give a pathetic Labour party a good kick in the balls.

Ian Robertson, a 30 year old teacher of mathematics has been selected as our candidate for the Glasgow East by-election. Ian, an Eastender through and through with family roots deeply set in the Glasgow East constituency, has less than three weeks to make an impact on his home turf. He is passionate about Glasgow and the reinvigoration and regeneration of the east end. Whilst the papers are saying this is a two horse race we should remember we were only 1603 votes behind the SNP. We all know the Labour Party is deeply unpopular, Gordon Brown even moreso but the teflon is coming off the SNP and their honeymoon is over.

Liberal Youth members make a huge impact in by-elections and with your help we could see another Dunfermline West Fife result. Come and join Ian Robertson and the team in the Glasgow office at 888 Shettleston Road, Glasgow, G32 7XN.

Liberal Youth Scotland will be organising action weekends on the lead up to the by-election and should you need accommodation get in touch and local party members will be able to help.

You can read more about Ian on his website www.glasgoweastlibdems.org.uk
