Campaign against the Ealing skyscraper and deliver letters to 17,000 of our closest friends
(Saturday, October 6, 2007)

Meeting type:Campaigning session
Date:Saturday, October 6, 2007
Time:11.00am - 5.00pm
Description:

There are two very important activities this weekend in Ealing...

First we're collecting signatures for a petition against the 40-storey skyscraper proposed for the site of the current Arcadia centre. That is a huge issue and opposition to it is already mounting. PPC for Ealing Central & Acton, Jon Ball, has set up a Facebook group for the campaign against it, which is called "Save Ealing from the Skyscraper!". You can join the group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6632951401.

We're meeting to do that at 11am by Lloyds TSB Bank on The Broadway in central Ealing. The local press are sending a photographer, so a good turnout would be appreciated

At Noon we will then be going on from there to deliver letters to potential supporters in Ealing Broadway and Ealing Common wards.  This activity is crucial whether Brown goes for a snap election or not.

On Sunday, we will be meeting at 11am and at 2pm outside Turnham Green tube station to deliver more letters to likely supporters in Southfield and Acton.

This is crucial work in the run-up to a general election - whenever it is called, so please come along to help if you possibly can.

If you'd like to meet up at a different time, please give Jon a call - see details belowl
