Clwyd South is in North East Wales. The majority of the constituency surrounds Wrexham Constituency and 22 out of 52 Councillors of the WCB Council are within CS.
The other part of the constituency is in Denbighshire within the Vale of Llangollen & Dee Valley almost as far as Bala with Council seats in Denbighshire CC. In contrast to the Wrexham urban area, the Vale of Clwyd is mostly rural.
