We are delighted that Sarah Ludford MEP will be speaking to us on the subject of women's and minority rights in Europe. The meeting will be from 7 to 9pm on Thursday 23 February.

In the European Parliament, Sarah Ludford has been a prominent and active campaigner on measures to combat human trafficking and sexual crime and to aid the search for missing children. She is in the forefront of action on equality and diversity, and is a vocal campaigner against anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and homophobic hate crime, while upholding the right to free speech.

Sarah Ludford has been the Lib Dem MEP for London since 1999.  A former councillor, she is a non-voting member of the House of Lords and Lib Dem spokeswoman on European justice and human rights issues in the European Parliament.
