A varied evening for Hounslow Liberal Democrat members, friends and supporters. It will start with Paul Marshall in conversation with Cllr Andrew Dakers on a whole range of themes, followed in true Lib Dem style by fish n chips and a quiz!
Tickets cost £15 each, students £10, closing date for tickets Wednesday 17 February, as we have to order the fish & chips in advance. Please also enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
ABOUT PAUL MARSHALL
Paul Marshall is Chairman and CIO of Marshall Wace LLP, one of Europe’s leading hedge fund groups. With his partner, Ian Wace, he established Marshall Wace in 1997. The firm manages a number of award-winning funds including the Eureka Fund. He is also a member of the Hedge Fund Standards Board.
Paul is Chairman of CentreForum, the Liberal think tank which was launched in 2005 and has rapidly gained prominence in the public policy sphere notably for its contribution to the debates on education and welfare. In 2007 CentreForum was named runner up in the Prospect Think-Tank of the year awards.
He is a founding Trustee of ARK, the children’s charity, and co-Chairman of ARK Schools. ARK is the largest provider of HIV treatment in South Africa and is also playing a pioneering role in improving the education outcomes for disadvantaged children in the UK.
Paul is co-author of “The Orange Book” (2004) and author of “Tackling Educational Inequality” (2007).
