It's almost over! By the small hours of Friday morning we will either have successfully elected Nigel Scott to the Council, or we will have yet another Labour councillor.

I've known Nigel for over ten years - he's been a member of the local party for even longer than I have! All of us owe Nigel for his tireless devotion to our party (and its predecessor parties). He will make a fantastic councillor and his election would be a powerful blow against this terrible Labour-run council.

But this won't happen without us. So please do help, it really is thanks to people like you that we are such a formidable campaign machine! Below are five things you can do to help. If you could do even one of them it would make an enormous difference.

1 Delivering personal hand-written notes from Nigel to people in the ward today, tomorrow or on Wednesday. These are available from our 3 Compasses HQ (62 Hornsey High St N8 7NX http://threecs.notlong.com) which will be open every waking hour from now until Wednesday night.

2 Talking to voters on the doorstep. We will be out every night at 6pm from outside the Maid of Muswell on Alexandra Park Road (N10 2DB http://maidofmuswell.notlong.com) give Nigel a ring on 07787 982 821 if you're running late.

3 Sitting outside a polling station on Thursday for a couple of hours taking down the details of the people who have voted - ring Susan on 07930 411 659 for more details.

4 Delivering the very early morning leaflet on Thursday morning. Meet 233b Alexandra Park Road (N22 7BJ http://goodmorningalexandra.notlong.com) at 5am or 6am - a full breakfast afterwards.

5 Knocking on our supporters doors on Thursday to persuade them to come out and vote all day: 9:30am to 10pm based out of 233b (details as above).

I really look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,

Lynne

P.S. The BNP were out in force this weekend - please come and help to make sure it was an utter waste of their time.

First to say many many thanks to all of you who came out over the weekend in Alexandra - it really gave Nigel, Dave and me a boost!

This week there is yet more delivery and we really have to get the last few blue envelopes written - so let me know if you have a spare minute for that!

We will be knocking on doors as usual tonight and on Thursday at the Maid of Muswell (N10 2DB http://maidofmuswell.notlong.com) on Alexandra Park Road - we are trying to start earlier at 6pm as the nights are drawing in fast - so let us know if you can make it - or if you are coming but may join us later!

We will also be canvassing, delivering, and stuffing blue envelopes all weekend - so please drop in whenever you have a spare moment.

Finally if any of you can't canvass in person but could telephone canvass from home please drop me an email letting me know how much time you have.

Many thanks all your support so far and see you soon!

Best wishes,

Susan
for and on behalf of Nigel & Dave :-)

P.S. There are always leaflets to deliver at our 3 Compasses HQ - (62 High St N8 7NX http://threecs.notlong.com)

It's a great pleasure to be able to tell you that one of my longest standing friends in politics - Nigel Scott - has been selected to fight the Alexandra by-election. Nigel has been working hard for Haringey residents ever since he moved into the borough seventeen years ago. That's even longer than I've been on the campaign trail! He has been a governor of two local schools, and was a key part of the campaign to get Alexandra Park School opened - the school where two of his children went. He's also an effective local campaigner - having persuaded the council to install a controlled pedestrian crossing in Park Avenue at a busy spot by Alexandra Palace Station.

I will be spending a lot of time getting Nigel elected so I hope to see you on the campaign trail. Our 3 Compasses office (62 High St N8 7NX http://threecs.notlong.com) is open 10-6 every day (including weekends) as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays until late. In addition we will be canvassing on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm and Sunday mornings at 11am. We usually meet outside the Maid of Muswell (N10 2DB http://maidofmuswell.notlong.com) on Alexandra Park Road.

Kind regards,

Lynne.

P.S. Polling day has been set for October 9th. If you are free, please mark it in your diary. However I, and many other people, will not be able to make it as this is Yom Kippur, the most important Jewish holiday. We have been pushing the council hard to change the date but they will not. We are doing everything we can to make sure Jewish voters are aware of the issue and are able to apply for a postal vote, so if you know of anyone affected please ask them to get in touch.
