Although Labour are defending this Town Council seat, the Town Councillor was elected unopposed in a ward/electoral division that has elected Conservatives exclusively for nigh on 20 years.
Therefore if we win this seat, this is really a Tory loss.
There's no Labour candidate standing here - so Labour have already lost the seat further contributing to the spectactular collapse of the Labour in the Monmouth constituency - in a seat which had a Labour MP as recently as 2005!
