DESCRIPTION:We are delighted that Jan Morgan will be hosting this event and
  providing her excellent home made food.Recent opinions put forward by the
  Republican candidates in the US presidential elections and from the Israe
 li government suggest that an attack by the west on Iran is becoming incre
 asingly likely. The reason given is the alleged development of nuclear wea
 pons by Iran\, and the need to prevent them from doing so. For our Food fo
 r Thought event we will be looking at the likelihood that Iran is developi
 ng nuclear weapons\, whether Israel and the US will decide to attack Iran 
 anyway\, and what is likely to be the position of the British Coalition go
 vernment if they do. Iran is a bigger country than Iraq\, so the fallout o
 f attacking Iran could be every bit as significant as the war in Iraq. Wil
 l the Liberal Democrats\, under pressure from being in Coalition governmen
 t\, be on the right side of this very important argument? We are delighted
  that our guest speaker will be professor&nbsp\;Paul Reynolds\, who gave a
 n excellent presentation of the situation in Afghanistan in Hackney 2 year
 s ago. He is now getting support for an emergency motion at our spring con
