DESCRIPTION:Vince Cable is the Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor\, beheld

 Fitzwilliam College\, Cambridge\, where he became President of the Union. 
 Soon after graduating with a degree in Natural Sciences he was elected as 
 a Councillor for Glasgow\, before attaining the post of Special Advisor to
  the Secretary of State for Trade. Vince later worked for several large in
 ternational organisations including Shell\, the World Bank and the United 
 Nations. A prolific writer\, Vince has written several books\, and was a c
 olumnist for The Economist\, and the Independent. He also contributed to t

 ed government failings\, combining insight from years of experience with a
  sharp and witty speaking style. He held the disregard for basic human rig
 hts shown by the government and its allies to account\, winning widespread
  praise by boycotting the welcome of Saudi Arabia&#39\;s King Abdullah.&nb
 sp\;Returning to his post of Shadow Chancellor and Deputy Leader following
  Nick Clegg&rsquo\;s election as Party Leader\, Vince has continued to pur
 sue the Government&rsquo\;s sloppy mismanagement of the economy and was re
 cently described by the Telegraph as &ldquo\;The Government&#39\;s most tr
 enchant economic critic&rdquo\;.
