Meeting details

Pride Glasgow
(Saturday, August 30, 2008)

Meeting type:Campaigning session
Date:Saturday, August 30, 2008
Time:11.10am - 4.10pm
Description:

There will be a Lib Dem presence at Pride Glasgow which takes place on Saturday 30th August and I am in great need of some volunteers. Last year at Pride Scotia in Edinburgh there was no Lib Dem presence and shamefully the only party to be involved was the Tories.

We will need volunteers to help run the stall as well as those who can take part 'marching' in the procession. The procession takes place at 11:30 from Blythswood Square and we will have the stall in place from midday to evening. Even if you can spare just an hour or two your help will be hugely appreciated.

Because there is no pride march in Edinburgh this year, Pride Glasgow is likely to have many people commuting to it from Edinburgh and the cenrtal belt.

Don't feel that if you don't identify as LGBT your help will be any less valuable, we're hugely appreciative for all help involved and it would be good to get as many people present regardless of sexual orientation to make as big an impact as possible. Please also invite your friends and family.

The day will be a lot of fun, there will be a variety of artists performing and lots of people dressed in wacky outfits (and if you feel the urge to dress up for the occasion I would definitely encourage that!).

We will be meeting at Blythswood Square at the corner where Douglas Street meets West Regent Street at 11:10am.
