From Thursday 18th October onwards, we will be holding regular Thursday night canvass sessions in Swansea East. We will start with Swansea and Gower's number one target ward, Morriston. Morriston is a five member ward currently held by Labour. We have been working the ward for several years and have assembled a great team of candidates, headed by local activist Helen Ceri-Clarke. We have an opportunity to end Labour's dominance in this ward in 2008 and to show people how hard Welsh Liberal Democrat Councillors can work for them, but only if we are willing to put the work in now.

The canvass sessions will start at 6pm and will be continuing at the same time every week until the elections in May. I hope we are able to get a large volume of canvass data for several wards, as well as picking up valuable casework which allows us to show people what we can achieve and informing us what peoples local priorities are.
