 election we can continue with our programme and in particular our European
  Evening. The party has started the process of selecting candidates for th
 e 2009 European list.&nbsp\; In the East Midlands there will 5 MEPs and we
  therefore need a list of 5 candidates to put before the electorate.&nbsp\
 ; Seven candidates\, Marc Godwin\, Denise Hawksworth\, Veena Hudson\, Ed M
 axfield\, Bill Newton Dunn\, Deborah Newton Cook and David Perkins have be
 en selected and invited to our European Evening.&nbsp\; This is an excelle
 nt chance to meet the candidates before you cast your vote.Bill Newton Dun
 n MEP was sixth in the 2004 Election so we will have to work extra hard to
  ensure that a Liberal Democrat is elected for the East Midlands in 2009 w
 hen there will only be 5 seats. This will also require loads of money so w
 e will be running an Auction of Promises in aid of the European Election F
