An Evening with Sam Gyimah MP
(Thursday, October 10, 2019)

Meeting type:Private meeting
Date:Thursday, October 10, 2019
Time:7.00pm - 10.00pm
Description:

Sam Gyimah, MP for East Surrey, was formerly the Minister for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation until he resigned in protest at Theresa May's Brexit withdrawal agreement. Sam subsequently voted against the Tory government in order to block a "no-deal Brexit" and had the whip withdrawn from him. On 14th September, Sam joined the Liberal Democrats during our party conference, accusing the prime minister of “veering towards populism and English nationalism”.

Come and hear Sam Gyimah speak about his thoughts on where we stand today with respect to Brexit and the prospects for a general election or new referendum. He will be introduced by Robert Eggleston, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Mid Sussex.

There will be time for a question & answer session, as well as social interaction over tea, coffee and biscuits.

There is no fixed charge for the evening but please help by making a donation to cover event costs and any surplus will go to party funds. Registration is essential so please book your place for this meeting.
