Sudden rush on Liberal Drinks beermats

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

Liberal Drinks Beermats and a pint of beerSomewhat out of the blue, there’s been a sudden rush on Liberal Drinks beermats!

It appears that no self-respecting liberal drinking session can do without them.

The Royal Mail has hiked up prices somewhat, so I’ve had to adjust pricing a bit.

They’re now 95p for 4 beermats (a small price cut), but postage and packing has had to go up to 95p (although this stays the same no matter how many beermats you buy)!

The best way to buy them is currently online via PayPal at http://bit.ly/LibDrinksBeermats!

Liberal Drinks beermats

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

One of the reasons for setting up Flock Together was to encourage people to organise Liberal Drinks evenings.

To help things go with a swing, we’ve just had some Liberal Drinks beermats printed.

They cost only £1 per a pack of 4, with 50p postage per order.

If you’d like to order some, they’re available at http://bit.ly/LibDrinksBeermats.

Next stop a Lib Dem pizza knife for Pizza, pasta, poppadoms and politics?

PS: If you’d rather send a cheque, just post it to “Martin Tod, 3 Weeke Manor House, Loyd Lindsay Square, Winchester, SO22 5NB”, or if you’d rather send your payment via electronic banking, please email me for details.

The latest results from the beer vs. pizza stakes are in… Lib Dem Drinks has the lead.

You can check the runners and riders here:

But this is in your hands… set up more events for the team you favour and you could tip the balance.

Automatic sizing of Google Maps

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

Many thanks to Mike Williams for his Google Maps API Version 2 Tutorial on fitting a map to data.

This has enabled me to add rather nifty maps on Flock Together to various organisation pages that automatically zoom in to fit all the meetings for an organisation snugly on the map without needing to zoom out to cover the whole of the British Isles (my earlier approach).

You can see an example on the Liberal Drinks page or the Newbury Liberal Democrats or North West Hampshire Liberal Democrats pages.

Welcome to the Flock Together blog

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

So why has Flock Together joined the blogosphere?

Partly because there seem to be enough things going on on Flock Together to justify a few comments, and partly because I wanted to enrich the site content a bit.

I’ll be using this blog to post news about Flock Together and also highlight any interesting things that people are doing with it.

At this point, you probably expected a post about Liberal Drinks, but I’ve already done that elsewhere.

No. This first post was triggered by another obsession of the Lib Dem blogosphere, namely Doctor Who.

Lib Dem campaigners in Cardiff have had the inspired idea of a Doctor Who-themed action weekend on September 9th and 10th, and, encouragingly, they’ve posted it on Flock Together.

I would not be surprised to see at least some of the Lib Dem blogosphere in attendance.
