I'm sure you know by now how important it is that we win this by-election; please spread the word amongst your local (and/or not so local) contacts.

OK, the current plan as I know it is as follows:

* Saturday morning 10am onwards, canvassing. Meeting at Dilys Ashby's house (widow of councillor), 57 Toler Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV11 5EP.
* Saturday afternoon, 3.30pm onwards, leaflet/target letter delivering. Also meeting at Dilys Ashby's house.
* Sunday, leaflet/target letter delivering; don't have a meeting time or place... you may be best off asking Mish (the candidate).
* Monday, Mish will be talking to the press about anti-social behaviour at a recreation ground in the ward; hopefully, John Hemming MP will be present (waiting for his confirmation). Also leaflet/target letter delivering.
* Tuesday, all day, blue ink letter delivering.
* Wednesday, don't know! Presumably fine tuning the preparation for next day and an early night...
* Thursday, polling day, delivery of good morning leaflets to commence from 4am!! I shall be manning the committee room and operating EARS (whilst minding my baby). Once the good morning deliverers return, knocking up will commence... Polls close at 10pm!

If any of you would like to join in with any of the above activities, we would naturally be eternally grateful and you will see the reward on Thursday night! :-)

Is there anyone reading this who is not going to the Conference in Brighton?! The Lib Dems in Nuneaton are looking for as many helpers as we can find for the final few days of our by-election campaign... which coincides with the conference (thanks to our Labour colleagues!). We need canvassers, knockers-up, and deliverers for Focuses, letters and "good morning" cards... Those interested in helping out in the campaign are invited to Mish's on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm from 15 August until the end of the campaign. Join in with planning, help with Focus articles, take your pick of delivery routes, etc...

Please do join in the effort... we cannot let the BNP have our seat!!
