Hackney Lib Dems: Introduction to the forthcoming Lib Dem conference
(Thursday, September 25, 2014)

Meeting type:Social event
Date:Thursday, September 25, 2014
Time:8.00pm - 10.00pm
Description:

The next Lib Dem conference will be held in Glasgow, October 4 - 8 with just 7 months to go before the next general election. For those who are going it is a great opportunity to find out more about the party and to have your say in the policy formation of the party.

But what exactly goes on there, and how do I have my say if I am not going?

Hackney Liberal Democrats have organised this pre-conference meetup where you can find out what happens at Lib Dem conference, what motions are being discussed, and you can have your say on how you would like the Hackney representatives to vote.

It is your chance to find out if you would like to go to future conferences and what you need to do for this to happen. You might want to consider booking for our next conference after this one which will be in Liverpool, March 13-15th 2015, see click here

Our guest speaker will be James Gurling who is a member of the Federal Conference Committee (FCC) that organises Lib Dem conference and he also Chairs the Party's Campaigns & Communications Committee.

Our hosts will be Tony and Jenni Harms who will provide the food for the evening which includes vegetarian options, and entry is £12/£6 low income.

Nearest tube station is Manor House from where you can get a 141 or 341 bus to Lordship Park. The 106 bus actually goes along Lordship Park which you can pick up from Stoke Newington train station.

You can book in advance via our website: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/what-is-happening-at-the-next-lib-dem-conference-tickets-13139278937?ref=estw
